Thank you to Yuka Namekawa for being our second A.I.R. Yuks will be giving an artists talk at the artists dinner tonight as she hands over the A.I.R space to our 3rd participant. Here are a few images from Yukas work during her time at THIS.
Luke Drozd is coming to the end of his time in Barcelona, so we thought we would update you with a few of his images. We miss you Luke.

T.H.I.S is proud to announce a second essay in Artblog by Hammam Aldouri (Phd). On immanence (1): Continued reflections on critical art practice. Hammam was not only one of our original artist members and all round clever bugger but also the founder of the A.I.R scheme back in 2011. Enjoy.
THIS would like to wish everyone we’ve gotten to know and who is connected to us and what we do – a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. Photo from the AIR space (Yuka Namekawa AIR)
Following the signing of a new 7 year lease T.H.I.S was very proud to hold (a slightly overdue) 5th birthday open studios. Luke Drozd craft beer went down a little to well and we were pleased to see many old and some new friends. Thanks to Carla and Bryony for organising the whole event.
Our resident ceramists Nao Matsunaga gives a (free to attend and open to all) ceramics masterclass. This is the first of many such skills sharing sessions to be held at T.H.I.S
In conclusion to his time at T.H.I.S Steve Maher gave a fun and enlightening artist talk about past and present projects. Drinks and Japanese nibbles were enjoyed by a full house. Thank you to Askeaton Contemporary Arts and Arts Council England for all their help in making this residency happen.
THIS would like to welcome Steve Maher from Ireland to join us on the 9th October for two months as our first A.I.R. THIS will be providing Steve with a 250sqft studio space, accommodation and material stipend. There will be a bike and phone provided to Steve to help him navigate the city as well…
